Report on China Machinery Industry, 2012-2016

　　Through more than half a century effort, China machinery industry has developed to a manufacturing with certain comprehensive strength and initially established pillar position in national economy.
　　During the “8th Five Years”, the Fourteenth Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward that machinery industry and automobile industry would be established to be the pillar industry in national economy. According to the strategic requirement, Ministry of Machinery Industry and State Planning Commission made “Machinery Industry Revitalization Outline”, which ratified by State Council to promulgate and implement and required to revival machinery industry basically with 15 years to 2010 and to be pillar industry in national economy.
　　During the “9th Five Years”, machinery industry made great progresses, which showed obviously as follows: the proportion of machinery industry output value in national industry was over 25%, product sustained stable growth to provide a lot of reliable equipments for national economy; advanced manufacturing technologies were used massively, meanwhile made big progresses in aspect of high-tech industrialization; improved the ability of researching and manufacturing major and precision complete equipments obviously; omnibearing and multi-level opening up pattern formed basically, the rapid growth of machinery products export supported the development of machinery industry and even national economy strongly; system reform made breakthrough progresses, market mechanism played a leading role in machinery industry, state-owned enterprises taking establishing modern enterprise system as aim advanced steadily, private enterprises and township enterprises became the newly emerging force of machinery industry development.
　　“10th Five Years” was the period in which machinery industry developed fastest and changed rapidest in history. The whole industry development achieved remarkably, highlights as follows: rapid growth of output scale, significantly improved environment of development, remarkable changes of industry structure, obviously improved service quality.
　　For these years, China machinery industry running at high level and continuously improved profitability have contributed to the national economy sustainable development and improving comprehensive national power without substitution. So developing machinery industry greatly and utilizing advanced machinery equipments in different national economical departments meant much to improve the development of China national economy and society.
　　The growth situation of machinery equipment manufacturing looked good in 2007, sustained and rapid investment growth and structure adjustment and technical transformation of national economy generated large market demand for machinery manufacturing and provided good environment for the stable growth of machinery equipment manufacturing.
　　Moreover, the “11th Five Years” will bring new development opportunities for machinery industry. It is well known that every Five Years Program involves with the construction of many big engineerings, and every engineering will take out 10% of total investment for the equipment, of which machinery equipment is one of the most important equipment. According to the general rules of Five Year Plan, major engineering investment will reach the peak in 2007 and 2008. Because equipment investment is arranged in advance, machinery industry will enter the brilliant period in advance before fixed investment growth peak coming, years following after will be the rapid development period of traditional machinery industry. Two big industries will drive the demand for machinery products. From the view of industry links, because automobile and aircraft industries are closest to traditional machinery, the quick development of the two industries will pull the big growth of traditional machinery. Facing new development opportunities China machinery enterprises should grasp market demand and industry development trend, seize immediate opportunities and make future development strategy.
